Following a weekend of leaks and rumors involving an upcoming Half-Life game from Valve Corp., the company has officially confirmed the upcoming announcement of a flagship VR game on Thursday with Half-Life: Alyx.

Other than the announcement date, November 21, the company had very little to say about this upcoming title. Titillating Twitter audiences with the mere mention of the imminent information.

Alyx Vance is a non-playable character from Half-Life 2, Valve’s first-person shooter released in 2004, and daughter of Doctor Eli Vance, an ally of Gordon Freeman, the mute protagonist of the game.

According to leaks of the possible game, Half-Life: Alyx was designed from the ground-up as an exploration of VR. It’s unknown at this time if that means it is a VR-only game or what headsets it will support — no doubt audiences will be champing at the bit for this information on Thursday.

From what else we know, it is unlikely Gordon will be making an appearance. (No, this is not going to be Half-Life 3.)

We will be waiting along with everyone else for that fateful hour at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
