Whatever dark pact made by 2K Games and Epic Games is finally expiring and Borderlands 3 will be finally coming to Steam on Mar. 13, 2020!

Certainly, this is the headliner we wanted to hear coming out of PAX East 2020 in Boston, MA, but there’s more!

An upcoming DLC for BL3 will bring back Gaige – and presumably her robot Deathtrap – that has the awesome title “Guns, Love and Tentacles.” This content will also feature the marriage of Sir Alistair Hammerlock and Wainwright Jakobs on the ice planet of Xylourgos on Mar. 26.

Gearbox Software describes the event as the story of a “a surprisingly dangerous engagement party” that will take place on a frozen world, which just also happens to be the grave of a dead Vault Monster. The whole thing will take place in the eerie, miskatonic town of Cursehaven, leading to fights with occultists and other monsters (as well as, presumably, tentacles).

The expansion is expected to bring new legendary weapons, class mods, and a new range of cosmetic items. Accordingly, this is supposed to put the “love back in Lovecraft,” which, no doubt, will be both endearing and horrible – and feature even more tentacles.

Gearbox also revealed a roadmap for Spring 2020 that includes lots of content and interesting updates.

In April, there will be a Mayhem Mode 2.0 update with free end-game content, overhauled modifiers, and more fun, more loot, and more mayhem.

With “Revenge of the Cartels,” also in April, there will be even more free in-game content, cartel operatives will arrive to be shot, and it will include unique event rewards.

Finally, in May, will be “Guardian Takedown” including another free content update, Eridian-themed takedowns, new challenging bosses, and new unique gear and cosmetics.

A third DLC was also teased suggesting that it will involve “outlaws and dinosaurs,” but it will not arrive until Summer 2020.
