Fantasy MMORPG with hardcore PvP mechanics, Tale of Toast, announced Friday that the team has integrated blockchain technology into the game with Patch 0.2.7.
In a collaboration with High Performance Blockchain, Tale of Toast developer studio Toasty Leaf will be giving out more than 30,000 HPB, a cryptocurrency token.
To earn these tokens, players need only play the game. Killing enemies and gathering materials has a 10% chance of also providing 0.01 – 0.02 HPB. Looting chests and killing bosses have a 100% chance of providing 0.1 – 0.25 HPB and 0.1 – 1 HPB respectively.
Once obtained, these coins can then immediately be used as payment for Crumbs, the premium currency within Tale of Toast, or traded on exchanges for other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum.
In the future, the developer plans to utilize the HPB’s Hardware Random Number Generator functionality to create provably fair loot table rolls in a manner that can be verified.
The developer is also planning to add “HRC-721 tokens” to be used for in-game collectibles, along with new use cases in Tale of Toast for using HPB coins to participate in races and other competitions where players receive a pot.
