After the Insurance Wars, All Games Are Fitness Games

We’ve seen fitness games gaining popularity ever since Dance Dance Revolution, but the genre really took off with Nintendo’s Wii Fit. Now, health insurance companies are looking into the benefits of fitness games. Insurance juggernaut Humana has partnered with game maker Ubisoft for two games, backing up their efforts through a point system where players can earn real-world rewards like vacations.     Insurance companies are realizing it’s easier to pay a little here and there to avoid paying a lot down the line. If a little cash thrown at a fitness game prevents a 30-grand heart attack bill, that’s money well spent.
