Virtual Reality Shopping and Computer-Fueled Consumerism

Posted by | November 1, 2011

I’m no consumer whore, after all, money spent on trivial things like shelter and food is money that isn’t spent on gaming. The rest of America, though, they love their toys and goodies and shopping. Shopping is a game to many people, and it’s one they take seriously. The same way we mod and hack our games, they mod and hack their shopping experience. I wasn’t kidding about that Xbox thing, either. The new changes to the Xbox’s console, as well as the various new Kinect functions, would be perfect for online, at-home shopping. Never leave the house, and Microsoft gets a cut off everything you buy.
