Nude women outpace better performance, high quality eyes, and detailed faces and bodies when it comes to the favorite downloads amid mods for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. According to Curse Gaming statistics, “Nude Females” comes in topmost at 18,136 monthly downloads, a full 495% higher than the second in the list “Detailed Bodies” at 3,660 monthly downloads.
Looking even further down the list, however, men aren’t entirely left out of the nudity mod market—but they receive much less attention than women at a mere 1,499 monthly downloads.
The Nude Females mod was created in November, 2011 and is still going strong today with version 1.4 (also released November of 2011.) The mod claims to “remove the underwear from female characters in the game, and updates the textures based on what one would expect to see underneath.”
Featuring such interesting things as defaulting argonian women (lizard people) without nipples, whilst allowing interested players to turn them back on again.
Obviously Skyrim players show a keen interest in making the world of Skyrim more realistic with texture mods making up half of the top 10 downloads. More detailed faces, high quality eyes, detailed lips, detailed bodies, and even no more blocky faces (if this is a problem for people.)
Graphics has long been of interest to video gamers and making the world more vibrant, beautiful, and outstanding has been the long term goal of many video game publishers.
Of course, apparently nude people is included in this and with 38 likes on Curse Gaming it’s hard to argue with; unless, of course, you’re more interested in a giant dungeon connecting every house in the game—the Dovahkiin Hideout that got 66 likes—which could be arguably cooler than a bunch of naked people.
