While Skyrim lacked many things on release, like stability, optimization, quests that could be completed, and challenge, one thing stood out before all others. You could find a horse, you could ride a horse, but you couldn’t fight from a horse. That has now changed. The 1.6 update is scheduled to include mounted combat, allowing you to enjoy the blissful perks of murdering from horseback. As usual, PC gamers will get the update first, with console players left to wait like urchins in a bread line. GameSpot has the story.
The Skyrim update also includes a bunch of bugfixes and deals with some kill cam issues, but really, bringing down a mace on some bandit from the saddle of your horse is really the star of the show, here.
