The 15th annual Independent Games Festival has opened the doors to submissions to compete for some $55,000 in prizes. Last year’s grand prize winner was Fez, which went on to do big things across the indie scene over Xbox LIVE. Last year saw about 850 submissions across the festival, which is a huge number. It just goes to show that people are really excited about game design and are finding the tools to make their dreams into reality. It’s a good sign.
