Sometimes, it’s hard to realize that my generation is actually a creeping horde of ancient, shambling relics, our dreams broken upon the hard cliffs of time while our flesh sloughs from the bones. We’re old. There is a generation coming up behind us, our own children, and those children have iPhones. Here’s Thomas Suarez, a 6th grade student from Los Angeles, to talk about apps, game development, and a few other things.

When I was his age, I was learning to program in BASIC. I had to, since my first computer booted up to a BASIC prompt. It’s good to see the next generation has the same interest in technology, but it’s better to see their tools are far more powerful.
