On November 29, EVE Online will either prove itself, or walk out on the ice to die slowly in the cold. You see, EVE has been fading, as their parent company, CCP, devoted their resources to a console shooter game and a vampire-themed MMO. This resulted in their cash cow being neglected, and a cow without fresh grass don’t make the milk. Without new cookies to chew on, players have been leaving EVE, and the game’s complex and bizarre labyrinth of a user experience has made it hard to replace the losses. With the upcoming Crucible patch, EVE Online has promised to return to the “flying in space” roots that made the game so successful. Check out this guide to the new expansion, and see if they’re making good on that promise. Ten Ton Hammer has the story.
