Vox ex Machina (vŏks ĕks mä’kə-nə) is a bastardization of the Latin “Deus ex Machina” to change “God from machine” into “Voice from machine.” Since Vox is about how video games have a voice for themselves, and this is also why we call ourselves individually vox and pluraly voces.
There are multiple voices to be heard on Vox ex Machina. Often you will find posts tagged with interesting words that describe the voice of the post (and you can often identify the various authors with their common voices.) For example, the types of voices that can be found here are: sanguine, melancholic, phlegmatic, choleric, and vitriolic.
You will normally only find voice tags on posts that are editorial or personal and not on reviews. We try to keep our reviews as even keel as possible.
