I’ve harbored…er, enjoyed a certain fondness for pirates in all their video game forms, from the depths of space in Privateer to the very sands of the Caribbean with Sid Meier’s Pirates! series. Until Warcraft fires up the pirate isles expansion, there’s just one place to go for privateering pleasures in the world of MMORPGs, and that’s Pirates of the Burning Seas. While PotBS isn’t exactly tearing up the charts, it’s still around, and still changing into something new as sure as the winds blow.

It seems RIFT, a new MMORPG from Trion Worlds, is proving capable of learning from its betters. To save themselves the endless joys of unhacking ten-thousand accounts every day, RIFT has released an authenticator for mobile devices. The program runs on iOS or Android, and installing it is good for the “Ironclad” title in game.
Get you some right here. The program is free.
When it comes to MMORPGs most of them seem to cover the click-to-attack paradigm of world interaction. We watch our characters from behind, guide them with the keys, and interact with the world through a series of possible variant talents or acts on an action bar. These include World of Warcrat, City of Heroes, Dungeons & Dragons Online, Everquest, to name a few of a very long list. But not all single-player games operate under these rules, MMOs just work well with them; what about first-person-shooters?
Can’t they MMO? Well, it looks like a game like CrimeCraft seems to have done just that.

Ever imagined what it might be like if we combined Avatar: The Last Airbender and Naruto? You’d probably come out with a jMMO a lot like Kitsu Saga, the newest release from Aeria Games & Entertainment Inc. for the massively-multiplayer market. Also throw in a cute, plush fox-spirit (a kitsune) to hover over your shoulder, and you’ve got it. Shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that these two cartoons came to mind when I started up this game and jumped into the fray—it is, after all, their animé themed MMO release.
Upon launch, there’s cute, lilting music and a fox spirit flying around. And you’re greeted by a sweet little tune that involves a flute and a maraca shaking sound. This song gets played intermittently through the play of the game. Mostly while you’re hacking through

Prospector Zeke has a few hide-and-seek quests for people to do, the second one that most players run into is a search for Beetles. These bugs happen to be in Krokotopia, so you’ll need to have reached that world first.
The Oasis Beetles: (1) Check around the back of the Robe and Deck shops–you will be near the edge of the island. And then, (2) the other one is lurking on the right side of the Library–this one is also near the edge.
Altar of Kings Beetle: After entering the PYRAMID OF THE SUN, follow the stairs down on the left side and then carry along the wall down a few ramps, the beetle is behind some rubble at a blocked exit.
Chamber of Fire Beetle: From Assistant Danforth go up 3 hairpin ramps and then follow the wall until it forces you to turn right. Take

Blizzard is advising all players in their vast and sprawling World of Warcraft empire to join together in merging Battle.Net and Warcraft accounts. The move to merge all players onto a single account system has been coming for some time, with Blizzard offering gentle nudges and suggestions. The gentleness has ended.
Now the axe comes out.
All players, users, hackers, spammers, pubbies, puggers, scammers, keyloggers, and ERPers must merge their accounts before November 11th. Dire wrath faces those who resist the purity of Blizzard’s single-account system.

Warhammer Online is a tough game to get into, largely because of its PVP focus, combined with a graying playerbase of max-level characters. There are precious few fellow low-levels for a new player to group with, and yet far more high-levels prowling the quest hubs for easy ganks.
Patch 1.3.2 aims to expand and enhance the newbie experience in ways that don’t involve a fireball to the face.
A new live event, Daemon Moon Rising, is coming to Warhammer Online on October 23 through November 2nd. It’s your basic holiday Halloween event, with masks, prizes, hordes of demons, and the understated negotiation between factions that Warhammer Online is so famous for.
