Man Marries Nintendo DS Character. Why Yes, It Was In Japan

Last Sunday, a man by the handle of Sal9000 was married to Nene Anegasaki of the Nintendo DS game, Love Plus. The ceremony was lovely by any standards, including an audience, a priest, and both the bride and groom. It was also webcast over the asian version of 4Chan, which is why we have the video below, courtesy of Boing Boing.

Patterns and completed custom figures are available via her Etsy account (the Tanooki Mario has since been sold), and you can see more sold-out items on her Flickr, which I’ll bet you she’d be happy to craft on request.

Strange oops! when installing World of Warcraft on Unbuntu

Cory Doctorow over at Boing Boing had a bizzare little oops when attempting to install World of Warcraft on Unbuntu Linux.

While installing World of Warcraft on my Ubuntu Linux laptop (using the WINE compatibility software), I found myself confronted by this license agreement. Ain’t that a pickle? I wonder if I’m bound by the license terms now that I clicked “Agree”?
