Xbox Sells 66 Million, Kinect Does Okay, Too

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console had a pretty good year, adding enough sales to hit the 66-million mark with change to spare. Riding the Xbox train is the Kinect system, that crazy motion-sensor device that turns a video game console into a multimedia device that responds to voice commands and dismissive hand gestures. Given these numbers, it’s fair to say that Microsoft will continue to build on the Xbox as a platform, and the Kinect will be part of that future. VentureBeat has the story.

    For bonus recursion, consider they also sold 66-million Xbox boxes that boxed their Xboxes.
