World of Darkness and Designing for Emergence

World of Darkness is a vampire MMORPG by CCP, the same company who runs EVE Online. The defining feature of the World of Darkness isn’t that you can play a vampire, but rather the political and social maneuvering those vampires do in their nightly dance of greed and venomous passions. How does CCP plan to bring that out in the game? By designing for emergence, giving players the tools to build the game around themselves.     After running EVE Online, there’s no company in gaming what understands greed and venomous passions better than CCP.
