Wasteland was the old-school post-apocalyptic role-playing game, the one that started the fire that forged Fallout. Thanks to a Kickstarter campaign, Wasteland is coming back in the form of Wasteland 2. It’s also bringing its younger brother with it. The original Wasteland will piggyback on Wasteland 2, giving gamers a chance to follow gaming’s first steps into post-apocalyptica. GameInformer has the story.
While I don’t know what Wasteland 2 will look like, this is a great chance for new gamers to see just exactly how old-school games worked compared to more modern fare. There is a difference in design, beyond the graphics and voice acting. Old-school games have no mercy and less pity. Enjoy.
