Virtual Reality Imaging of Molecular Peptides

Sure, the Playstation Network is still down and you can’t play any of your 60$ games on your 300$ console, but who needs that when you have step-through models of proteins in virtual reality? Drug Discovery and Development has the story.

As you know, molecular peptides are 3D structures that interact with other molecules in ways determined by their shape. Since these proteins are rather important for everything ever, being able to see them with their curves on display is a wonderful way to get into molecular biology. Every day, virtual reality and its ability to transform raw data into moving beauty is giving us new tools to transform our world.

Also, looking at it, the one in the picture would make a great Descent level.
