Video Games May Lessen Symptoms of PTSD

PTSD is post-traumatic stress disorder, a condition that affects victims of traumatic situations. The causes of PTSD are many, from a car accident to soldiering in a war zone. Recent research has shown that playing video games may help relieve the flashbacks and memory focus that follows PTSD. Scientific American has the story.

    This is important. Over here in the States, we have a bunch of people returning from war overseas, and they’re bringing PTSD with them. Hopefully, they can find some peace with something as simple as video games as part of their treatment program.
