Video Game Teaches Children to Avoid Landmines

Video games are an incredible teaching tool, and children, especially, engage with video games in a way they would never do with some random droning instructobot lecture. The game Undercover UXO literally makes this difference a matter of life and death.

UXO, you see, stands for “Unexploded Ordinance,” or land mines. Land mines from wars past and present threaten children in many countries all over the globe. Undercover UXO teaches children how to identify and avoid the deadly little surprises. LA Times has the full article here.
