Silent Hill: Downpour Delayed

Posted by | October 12, 2011

In a stunning move, Konami has held back the release of the next game in their horror series, Silent Hill: Downpour. Originally expected to release some time in November, Downpour will be coming to store shelves around first quarter 2012. So that’s what, January or March?

Although some think the delay is meant to give the dev team more time to polish the game, the smart money is on Konami looking to dodge the heavy hitters coming out in the last months of the year. Rowvember, baby.

It’s a smart move on Konami’s part. Yeah, I basically live in Silent Hill (rent’s cheap), but you know for damn sure I’ll be playing Saints Row the Third come November. Also Batman. And Mass Effect 3, maybe.

I can say one thing about it from the outset: we do like the title.

    Need more rain.
