SecuROM is a DRM system widely hated by gamers for its amazing ability to screw up computers and prevent legitimate customers from playing the games they have purchased. It’s so much trouble that a lawsuit was actually filed against EA for using it in the evolution-themed game, Spore. The most interesting thing here is that this version of SecuROM is built to hide itself. Game Politics has the story.
