Problem: Murder Rate 5x That of Texas. Solution: Ban Violent Video Games

No, I’m not talking about Detroit.

Venezuela, a country where violent crime is so widespread that the government has simply stopped publishing murder reports, is considering a ban on violent video games. The measure in question has passed the initial legislative process, and is expected to see a final vote shortly.

Opponents of the legislation charge that it’s just a smokescreen emitted from the foul orifices of the ruling government in an attempt to mask the scent of blood in the streets.
