Over Half of American Households Own Gaming Consoles

It’s called market penetration, and it’s glorious. A recent survey from the Nielsen Group has revealed that over 56% of households in the United States own current-gen consoles, a figure up six percent from last year. In other words, we’re winning. Kotaku has the story.

    The number of gaming households is only going to go up as young gamers move out and older, non-gamers fall off the planet. I don’t think I’ve known a former gamer… Everyone who starts serious gaming stays a gamer. We are the future.
