Modern Warfare 3 — An Intellectual Delight. Or Maybe Not

Posted by | November 16, 2011

Hint, “not.” Modern Warfare 3 is many things. A top-selling game, a brutal action experience, and a sordid canal through which racism and homophobia flows from the 12-year olds of the nation and into your living room. Over at Slate, they have other terms for the game, terms like “brainless, stupid, visceral joy” as a starter. Since I’m a fan of language like that, I’m bringing their review to you. Slate has the story.

For me, it’s the voices in these games. They always sound so bored. And what sort of mission involves running around shooting people to complete? Why is it so important? Questions never to be answered.
