    Guild Wars 2 features a new style of quest design, where quests just sort of appear around the character as he moves through the world. These quests have branches depending on what the character does or doesn’t do. This sort of new design is a challenge to MMOs that do things in the old EverQuest style, like say, that massive colossus over there with the Orc on its shoulder.

    Since GW2 isn’t the only came sporting some brand new design ideas, what does that mean for the heavy hitters that are still locked to the early days of MMORPGs?
