Harvest Moon Games: News Update

Posted by | July 16, 2007

Natsume/Marvelous Interactive has some upcoming games in the Harvest Moon Series.

HM Wii – Release Date: Q2 2008

The actual title is still pending, but sources hint at “Tree of Tranquility”. Now you can harness the Wiimote for what it was destined for: farming. Play as a boy or girl. Bonus: fishing!

The wait will be worth it for this one.

HM DS Cute (Girl version of HM DS) – Release Date: Q1 2008

This is the girl version of Harvest Moon: DS. Natsume usually releases a girl version after the original boy version of the game. The benefit to this, besides being a chick, is that they usually fix a lot of bugs that slip by in the original.

Harvest Moon Boy & Girl (PSP) – Release Date: July 31, 2007

This game is actually direct port of PS1 game, Back to Nature. It combines the boy and girl version so you can choose which one to play at the beginning of the game.

Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon (DS) – Release Date: August 14, 2007

This twist on the HM series includes crafting and battling, as well as farming!

You can read the Gamespot E3 2007 preview.

Puzzle de Harvest Moon (DS) – Release Date: October 2007

This puzzler plays on the motifs of the HM universe that allows multi-player of up to four people via the DS Wi-Fi.

River King: Mystic Valley (DS) – Release Date: September 2007

The River King series is similar to Harvest Moon in that it’s very cute, has a variety of characters, and that I also love it. No farming here, but FISHING is your daily toil. The DS version promises more gear, more mini games, and tournament fishing via the DS Wi-Fi.
