And this time, Sony isn’t responsible. It seems hardcore gamers, I’ll assume everyone here fits the bill, have altered structures in the part of their brains that deals with reward and motivation. In essence, we find completing goals and winning games to be more fulfilling than other people might. We are built to get things done. So what’s going on in your brain? WebMD has the story.

    It just gives more credence to this idea I have. I’ve seen what guilds do in their game of choice, and it makes we wonder. If we got together, got organized, built ourselves a realspace guild for getting things done in the real world… Well. Whose sandcastles could we kick over?
