God Mode Exploit Discovered in Diablo 3

Posted by | July 23, 2012

Diablo 3 has been having a rough time of it lately. In a post on Blizzard’s forums, a player has announced the discovery of a god mode exploit that makes the Wizard class invulnerable. The trick involves quick timing, so gamers who have tried it are reporting mixed success. While an exploit like this would be nothing more than amusing in a single-player game, Blizzard has a real money auction house to protect. Again. The original thread on Battle.net has been locked and all information deleted out, so try this article instead. Player Attack has the story.

I can’t confirm the exploit on my side, since I don’t have D3 up and running, so maybe someone else could give us a trip report on this one? Either way, it helps to illustrate just how fragile Blizzard’s real money auction house is. Anything that changes balance and game play affects the auction house. Even bugs, no matter how minor they’d be in any other game.
