The dazzling franchise that is Fallout has seen a lot of amazing developments recently—bringing this amazing RPG out of the top-down and three-quarters RPG view into the exalted realm of the FPSRPG. Now, we’ve seen the release of the next after Fallout 3 (that shining example) with Fallout: New Vegas.

Except all is not well in Fallout city, and as these things must go, people have release mods to fix the problems that the community sees as still wanting. This is why we have Overclock.net,

Fallout: New Vegas is a great game, but there are many things that just don’t work the way they should. Either Obsidian didn’t playtest enough, or didn’t have time to fix these things, or just made bad decisions. These are mods that I and others in the community recommend to make the game better, to clean up Obsidian’s mistakes.

The links available within this huge set include fixes for the fact that Fallout: New Vegas uses the wrong version of DirectX 9 (mod fix) and people who apply the fix can receive a jump in frame rate ranging from 50%-200%. Also available as mods: a mouse acceleration fix, continue playing after the main quest, no auto-aim, faster running, Fellout NV (an improvement to the wasteland aesthetics), card/ammo sorting, a caravan card organizer, level cap remover, realistic damage for weapons, make unique weapons moddable, an additional quest, unlimited companions, … and much more!

I really do love Fallout 3, and not just because random dismemberment puts a smile on my face. It’s all about the custom work, the community mods, the great things that people put into the game just because. And nothing say “just because” better than a full line of fashions for the post-nuclear wasteland wanderer.

Listen, let’s be honest here. The game? A cakewalk. The ending? Sucktastic. So what keeps people coming back to Fallout 3? Why, it’s the best Pretty Princess Dress-Me-Up game on the market. Thanks to the modding community, there’s no end to the ways you can dress up (or down…) your lethal Barbie doll as you scour the lands of all who dare stand against your harsh and unstoppable will. So in that spirit, let me present some of the coolest clothing mods you’ll ever see in Fallout 3.

Zero Suit Samus
Yep. Skin-tight body suit, big gun, high tech. I’d be more surprised if it wasn’t here, really. Grab the Mantis Zero Suit Samus mod and get to hunting those bounties.

Sexy Nurse Bikini and Hat
Because someone has to administer those stimpaks, and they might as well look good while doing it. A fine choice for Clover, say… This sexy nurse costume goes great with the more popular Fallout 3 nude mods, and would make for an excellent centerpiece in those pornomachina YouTube movies you record for your private channel. Chain Domina Armour
Speaking of Clover, sometimes you just have to put those nasty little wastelanders in their place. How better to do so than with this sexy and stunning outfit? Power doesn’t just stem from the barrel of a gun; there’s something to be said about a tight corset, black heels, and leather leggings.

Personal Defense Business Suit
We all want to look our best, but that’s just so tough these days what with all those hooligans out there trying to ventilate you through with their nailbats and assault rifles and such. Fear not! Now you too can own a business suit capable of taking the worst the wasteland can dish out. You’ll never need to worry about inconvenient bullet holes ruining those important meetings again. Oh, and you get some kind of player housing, too, but the suit’s the thing, right? Have at it.

American Patriot Suit
So it’s not the most tasteful suit around…but they’ll see your good ol’ American pride coming from miles away! A good choice if you like to roam the wastelands carting artillery for a sidearm. A great choice if you like to hang out with Eulogy Jones and his crew. Freedom comes in your size, patriot.

Persona and Secret Outfits
I’d be remiss in my duties if I didn’t mention these outfits, even if they’re not exactly lore-friendly. The Persona and Secret suits are among the most popular outfits in the modding community, and with good reason. Nice lines, good attention to detail, and they’re great for photo shoots and scenes. A must-have for the Fallout 3 nude mod crowd, especially if you want to get the most out of those new body types you just installed. Take a look for yourself.

Everyone has to live somewhere, even in video games. Give people total control over what they can do and build in a video game, and you’ll get porn, lots of porn. But the second thing people are going to get working on is player housing.

Mostly to store their video game porn collections.

Fallout 3 is no exception to this rule, and while the game itself offers two fine little hovels to while away the apocalypse in, that’s just not enough for those who desire more in life than a hole out of the rain. We’re talking style, design, wall art, and a comfy bed that isn’t hopping with lice like those ruins down near Megaton.

Take a look at this collection of unique and interesting lairs for your wasteland wanderer, all courtesy of the Fallout 3 modding community. The boring need not apply.

Got a taste for heights? Why not try out the Movin’ On Up mod, and get yourself a deluxe apartment in the sky. Okay, really it’s a bunch of trailers slapped into the dead skeleton of a skyscraper, but hey, check out that view!

Waterfront property, Fallout style. If you’ve got more bikinis in your inventory than bullets in your guns, you’ll want to take a look at this Lake House mod. Just a little post-nuclear cabin by the water, with planks out into the lake. Perfect for photo shoots and fashion shows. This one might not work with the latest patches, though, so watch yourself.

Looking to simplify your living arrangements? How about a truck and a shack? This Caravan house is just that. No weapons, no god-items, no pathing nightmares as your dozen modded companions trip over each other and cram you into a corner with the rats. Just a place for your stuff. This one’s also good for photo shoots, oddly enough.

Then there’s the roomie option. Ever consider moving in with someone else? Like, say, Eulogy? He’s got a nice pad, some good friends, and has a thing for parties. Why not stop by and meet the ladies at the Eulogy Redux housing mod? Though, I must say, the mod author seems to hold an odd fondness for broken hockey masks. Then again, he also has a love of dancing girls and who can say no to that?

Ever wonder where that minigun goes when you’re not hosing down some poor bastard raider and his pathetic little baseball bat? It goes off to a non-dimensional space, of course. Ever consider living there? Dimensional Storage is a mod that gives you a little place of your own out in hyperspace, and a teleport gizmo to get there and back. Screw the lore, walking sucks. BAMF!

Oh, and did I mention the Alien Mothership? Yeah, there’s one of those. Another teleport gizmo gets you there, found in the wreckage of the alien landing down in the wasteland.

The Dukov Project is an interesting housing mod. In this one, you hook up with a guy who has a place, and the place has some charm to it. Artwork, sculptures, lighting. Oh, and girls. Two girls. Who you can get with. If you’re bored with the same ol’ vault corridors, then try this housing mod and bring some personality into your game. Did I mention the girls?

Finally, if you’re in the market for truly unique homes, you’ll love this one. It’s the Statue of Liberty.

Bethesda has finally released the dev tools for Fallout 3, the Garden of Eden Creation Kit, or GECK. The name takes us back to the heady days of Fallout 2, while the tools themselves take us into a future filled with pornomachina. It’s one of the cardinal rules of such things that if you give people vast powers of creation the first thing they’ll do is strap huge cocks over everything. Once that’s run its course, the more productive among the unruly masses will buckle down and get to cranking out the porn.

The GECK has been available for a bit over a week now, so the first faltering attempts at Fallout 3 nude patches and clothing swaps have been replaced by a more skillful selection of nude patches and sexy mods. So let’s get started then, shall we?

First of the clothing rack, there’s this pair of cute little undies. Ever wanted the Vault Boy on your backside? It’s a retexture of another mod, the link to that is included. Here you go. How about a topless corset? Try these on, in a selection of colours. There’s also this charming disarmed slave collar for you to wear, which I for one think is the perfect touch for any outfit.

You’ll also want to grab an old favourite, the nude painspike armour. Just begging for an adjustment, really. Speaking of adjustments, this here underwear pack also makes your character’s boobs bigger. Goes from B-cups all the way up to double-D. Rather nice. You can’t just go around in your underwear all the time, though. That’s why you’ll need this sexy sleepwear collection to help get you through the night. This sleepwear armour patch adds an impressive armour rating to your sexy threads so you won’t feel so unprotected out in the big bad world.

Now, if you want to get everyone else around the wasteland into a special something, try this wasteland sexy clothing mod that modifies ordinary NPC outfits into properly tasteless versions. This nude Fallout 3 armour mod will spread the joy to those NPCs who foolishly insist on wearing bulky armour in your presence. You might also want to try this sexy armour mod as well.

There are also a slew of mod packs to improve the looks of those NPCs and your own characters. Why not start off with this eye mod to put some colour in those windows to the soul? You’ll also want to work on the bodies out there, since the standard model leaves alot to be desired. Try this female body replacer to strip the underwear off those raider girls. To put some variety into the wasteland honeys, take a look at this racial face replacer pack. It includes bodies, too, but works best with other better body mods. Such as this one, the Malos nude body replacer. Seems popular, many other mods are designed to work with it.

But let us get down to the serious brass tacks. With a dev editor in the community’s sweaty and shaking hands, there’s no reason to stop at simple texture swaps and replacements. Here is the real meat, the cool stuff people have done to make the wasteland a true paradise of pornomachina.

Like, say, strippers. Throw on this exotic dancer mod to add some dancing lovelies to Megaton. You might also like this animation pack with new dances and poses. If you need some dancers of your own, why, there’s a new mod for purchasable slaves, which should come in handy, especially with the Slaves Stick Around mod. You have to put all those new friends somewhere, so why not this personal vault designed to work with your companions?

If you want to make the most of World of Warcraft, you’ll need a selection of add ons and plugins that give you more information about the world and your character. You’ll want something to help out at the Auction House, so you can make the gold. You’ll need a plugin to help your professions, so you can go and collect all those minerals, ores, and herbs quickly and easily.

When you raid, you’ll also want to be your best. The other people in your group will notice if you’re not performing. Do you get invites to raid as soon as you log in, or are you waiting in the LFG channel, alone, unloved, as darkness falls and the moon rises? The right plugins make the difference.

If you want to be the best, you’ll need some plugins, mods, and add ons to help you out. Here’s a selection that we at Vox consider absolutely necessary.

Auctioneer
The best way to make bank in Azeroth is at the Auction House. If you want gold in your pocket, you’ll need to keep track of the Auction House and watch prices like a hawk. You could do this by yourself, scribbling numbers on a notepad, or you could get the Auctioneer mod and rake in the gold.

Auctioneer works by keeping track of prices. This allows you to price your own items to sell, and to hunt down bargains to snap up. Most Auction House millionaires keep their stock by finding these bargains and repricing them to match the market. Auctioneer is the best way to do this.

Auctioneer can also post your auctions in batches, which is a great way to make life easier. Got 200 Large Brilliant Shards to unload? Click-click-done. This is the most important mod you can install if you want to make money in World of Warcraft. Get Auctioneer here.

The Gatherer
How can you make mad gold with your gathering professions if you don’t know where to find the herbs, minerals, and ores people want? Don’t run around Azeroth like a spooked chicken, get the Gatherer and stay informed.

The Gatherer collects information on where those tasty herb and mineral nodes spawn, then shows all this to you on a map. You can adjust it to display only those things you’re interested in collecting. Every better, the Gatherer knows when your guildies collect something neat, and it’ll post that data to your map, as well. It’s a quick way to see just where everything profitable is hiding. If you’re planning on making your gold through mining or herbalism, you need the Gatherer. Find the Gatherer here.

ClosetGnome
If you’re serious about raiding in World of Warcraft, then chances are good you’ve got more than one set of gear. Druids, Warriors, Shadow Priests… Really, just about everyone is toting around a bag filled with the gear for their “other suit.” In the heat of battle, you need a quick way to swap these suits so you can get on and do what the group expects you to do. You need a plugin that keeps track of your wardrobe and can turn you from DPS to a tank at the push of a button. ClosetGnome is our go-to choice for wardrobe management. Omen Threat Meter
Are you controlling your threat, or are you about to die? There are really only two choices. Either know exactly where you are on the aggro list, or spend the fight face down in the dirt. Even if you’re not the tank, you need a threat meter. Not just so you can prevent the fatal mistake of grabbing aggro from the main tank, but also, you’ll want to know, at all times, just what sort of aggro you’re looking at. Monsters and mobs can do horrible, ruinous things to the fellow who is second or third on their hate list, and how can you know that won’t be you without a meter? In our guild, Omen is standard issue. Omen protects you and your raid by showing threat on your target at all times, with a simple display. Don’t wipe your raid. Get Omen, and stay safe. Deadly Boss Mods
The key to beating the toughest raid bosses in World of Warcraft is knowing what they’re going to do. If you know when the fire is coming, you’re less likely to stand in it and die, right? Boss mods help you do that by warning you when the boss is about to do something horrible. They also keep you updated on what’s happening all around you in the fight. With that kind of info, you’ll be able to hold your own against even the toughest raid bosses. Remember, dead men do no DPS. Check out Deadly Boss Mods here.

Because we’re all adults here, it’s fairly safe to discuss doing horrible and awesome things to the textures in World of Warcraft. These texture swaps and adjustments are basis for mods and patches which add, or more often remove, cosmetic images from your WoW characters. The changes are purely cosmetic, do nothing to change the game, and affect only things that show up on your screen. No one else will see them.

You can use texture swaps to get your Gnome up and riding on a kodo, or to replace your Voidwalker with Ragnaros the Firelord. Things like that. But you aren’t here for that, are you? You want to replace your character’s bra with bare skin. You’re here for the Warcraft nude mods. Okay, I can help you.

You might want to first join the Warcraft Skins Yahoo Group to get the latest and greatest nude and sexy clothing mods for WoW. Of course, they also offer other kinds of textures and interesting effects to try out. It’s a good place to start if you want to dip your toe in the modding community waters.

It doesn’t hurt to learn about the details of texture swapping and model replacement, either. This LiveJournal article is good place to catch up on the art and science of Warcraft texture swapping. You might also be able to pick up some info from Anton145′s model changing YouTube video.

As always, fanmade mods and patches aren’t guaranteed to work right, or at all, and everything can change in the fires of a Blizzard patch day. Also, read the instructions before you install any of these mods. Altering Warcraft’s files is not a precise science, and things can get… tricky. With all that said, on with the nude mods.

Here’s another mod for females, although it’s probably outdated. Some characters might experience a strange green skin instead of any normal textures, but it could work for you. Check it out.

Then there are the Patchzer packs. These suckers are big and comprehensive. Pactchzer includes everything from sexy clothing to replace those drab starter outfits, to a selection of nude and semi-nude NPC and monster models. It goes well beyond the standard succubus retexture, lemme tell you. You can sneak a preview of what Patchzer can do in this here YouTube video. The actual Patchzer pack and Warcraft nude mod lives over at Picture Chaos. Just go through the flash site and pick the mods and patches you like.

You might need a Warcraft model viewer or editor to get the most out of these patches. Your best bet there is to check the WoWwiki page and wait for a version that works with Wrath of the Lich King to show up. Also, do read up on the way certain patches operate, you might be able to clear up any “green skin” problems simply by altering the way the mod works with that skin.
